Matt Cartwright is a battle-tested courtroom lawyer with a track record of success in major jury trials. He co-authored the Thomson Reuters treatise Litigating Business and Commercial Tort Cases, a featured source on Westlaw®. He has been recognized as one of the top trial lawyers in the nation and served six terms with distinction as a U.S. Representative.

  • Won a record-setting jury verdict as lead counsel in a bet-the-company lender liability jury trial, Wilprint Marketing Consultants v. Wachovia Bank, N.A. (2004) 
  • Refined the New York standard for spoliation of evidence as lead counsel in Lawrence Ins. Group v. KPMG Peat Marwick, a complex case of auditing and actuarial malpractice (2004) 
  • Served as lead counsel in dozens of major jury trials, resulting in 23 reported cases (1988-2012) 
  • Elected United States Representative, PA-08 (2013-2025) 
  • Wrote 16 bills signed into law by 3 presidents, including the Camp LeJeune Justice Act, which benefits U.S. Marines poisoned by contaminated well water (2022) 
  • Chaired the Commerce, Justice and Science Subcommittee of House Appropriations, funding Commerce, DOJ, NASA and NSF.
